Jannik Sinner hunting for confirmation, physical unknown
Jannik Sinner spoke ahead of his debut in Indian Wells
Jannik Sinner spoke to Sky ahead of his debut in Indian Wells: the South Tyrolean will make his debut in the second round with the winner of the confrontation between Gojo and Gasquet. The Azzurro is looking for confirmations after a very positive first part of the season: “Doing well in the 1000 is very important, I started the season quite well: victory in Montpellier, final in Rotterdam and I lost in the fifth to Tsitsipas in the round of 16 in Melbourne. So the goal is to start here convincingly and then we’ll see.”
Fever forced him to miss Marseille, and his actual physical condition is to be checked: “We got here about a week ago, I’ve been training a lot because after Marseille I didn’t have as much time to do it because I haven’t been very well. We put in a lot of work from a physical point of view and obviously also on the field.”
