Messina’s words after the victory with Partizan

Ettore Messina commented on his team’s fine success against Partizan in the Euroleague: “We are extremely happy, we beat a very tough team, with discipline in defense and offense, which has grown a lot over the year under Obradovic’s leadership. After a timid start, the team responded very well. In the 2nd half, the defense grew a lot and on offense we found Baron and the long ones. Or the two point guards, who dictated the pace. Let’s move forward game by game, see what happens.”

The coach of the Milanese club, however, does not want to delude himself: “The important thing is that, with this series of tests, the team has found confidence. Then there are too many variables, not dependent on us. If in three/four games we have won them, with some gifts from other teams, then we will talk about it. It is not right to delude ourselves and the fans. Then if something happens we will be happy about it.”
