Cantù, Meo Sacchetti doesn’t trust Cento
A2 Italian Cup semifinals on Saturday
The A2 Series faces the weekend dedicated to the Final Four of the Italian Category Cup, the organization of which has been entrusted, by the LNP, to Cantù Basketball.
On the parquet of Busto Arsizio, the venue for the scheduled games, the Brianzoli will face Tramec Cento in the semifinals, in a challenge that Cantù coach Meo Sacchetti urges not to underestimate: “Cento is a team that definitely has quality and is at the top of the Red round not by chance,” he said during the presentation. “They play good basketball and are able to find the way to the basket easily. It will be up to us to try to limit them. Injuries? Da Ros is recovering, while Berdini has not yet started training again. However, we are thinking one game at a time and we know that these matches are always difficult. We have a very intense commitment ahead of us. There are no favorites, but we want to lead the way in this competition.”
In the other semifinal, Cremona and Torino will compete. Final scheduled for Sunday, March 12, at 7 p.m.
