Serie B, ‘X’ dominates: draw also in the big match between Bari and Frosinone
Saturday’s Serie B results
There are as many as five draws out of the six matches played Saturday in Serie B, with three games ending 0-0. One of these was the most eagerly awaited of the day, the big match at the “San Nicola” between Bari and Frosinone: an important point, however, for the Ciociari, who easily retain the top of the cadetteria with 62 points, 12 more than just Bari and Genoa.
Parma-Sudtirol and Benevento-Como also end in white nets, with the Sanniti in 10 for most of the second half (Tello sent off in the 47th minute). Venezia-Brescia ends 1-1 (Van de Looi responds to Pohjanpalo), goal feast between Cittadella and Palermo, who draw 3-3 (Maistrello’s brace and Antonucci’s goal on a penalty for the hosts, two for Di Mariano – one on a penalty – and Brunori’s goal for the Sicilians).
The only team to end B Saturday with three more points in the standings is Modena: the goal scored by Strizzolo in the opening bars of the match against Pisa is enough to secure the 1-0 success, which allows the Canarini to move away from the boiling zone of the standings.
