Sofia Goggia recounted in detail the harrowing move from Are, Sweden, to Soldeu, Andorra, where the World Cup finals are scheduled to close the competitive season.

“It’s clear that we don’t go by car from Sweden to Andorra, we athletes, the skimans do because they have the equipment and all the skis,” the Bergamo-born skier said in a video message on Instagram. “We took three flights, and when we land in Barcelona then we have a three-hour, three-and-a-half-hour bus waiting for us… that will take us to Soldeu.

“Eternal day, however, very useful for university purposes because I’m studying at the top of my lungs,” concluded the downhill champion, a student of political science.
