Inter Milan fly to the Champions League quarterfinals: Inzaghi’s team draws 0-0 with a thrill against Porto in Portugal and by virtue of the 1-0 first leg at the San Siro arrives among the top 8 in Europe.
Match not beautiful but agonistically very intense, at the do Dragao Stadium first half balanced and exciting. The hosts have a resounding chance in the 39th minute with Evanilson, decisive deflection in Dimarco’s corner, and in the 45th minute with Eustaquio, while the guests are dangerous at the expiry with Lautaro Martinez.
At the start of the second half, Inter suffered from Porto’s pressure, but failed to create any real danger for Onana’s goal. The match continued on the edge of tension, as the minutes passed Inzaghi’s team took the field and struggled less to contain the maneuvering of the Lusitanians, who maintained the initiative but created too little.
A heart-stopping final, referee Marciniak awarded no less than seven minutes of recovery time and everything happened: Dumfries saved a shot on the line, Onana a minute later repelled a Marcano conclusion at the post, and Grujc’s header hit the crossbar. Right at the expiration expelled Pepe. Inter fly to the quarterfinals.
