Brescia still at home after +36 vs. Trieste in league

Coming back from the brilliant home success against Pallacanestro Trieste (+36 the gap at the final siren), Germani Brescia will be back in front of the home crowd on Wednesday, facing Lietkabelis in a match that would make the qualification to the next round of Eurocup almost certain, in case of success.

Coach Alessandro Magro, however, does not want any drops in concentration, especially in light of the Lombards’ last Eurocup outing, defeated by Reyer Venezia. A match that the 40-year-old Tuscan-born coach does not want to forget. “It’s an important moment for our regular season in Eurocup,” he told the club’s official channels, “after the defeat in Venice we have the chance to play two consecutive games at home, trying to reach the goal of passing the round arithmetically and to do it in the best possible ranking position.

“Lietkabelis is a very aggressive team on defense, which likes to attack the ball on the pick-n-roll situation, trying to impose its physical size,” Magro added. “For us it will be an all-around test of European caliber. We will have to try to cope with this kind of obstacle thanks to the boost of our fans and our desire to detach the pass for the next phase already with three days left in the round.”
