Poker Fiorentina against Sivasspor. Castrovilli also returns to goal

Fiorentina, after a narrow success in the first leg, smashes a resounding 4-1 at home to Sivasspor and snatches a pass to the Conference League quarterfinals.

In the first half the Viola were better, but the Turks surprisingly took the lead thanks to Erdogan’s goal in the 35th minute. Shortly before halftime, the liliati equalized: great action by Gonzalez, Cabral was the nimblest to pounce on the rebound sealing the 1-1.

In the second half, Italiano’s men went wild, finding within a quarter of an hour two goals thanks to Milenkovic and an own goal by Goutas: the hosts’ nerves jumped and Arslan was sent off for a reaction foul on Mandragora. Closing the score was Castrovilli in the 89th minute, who found the goal again after the heavy injury he suffered.

On Friday, March 17, the Nyon urn will determine Fiorentina’s opponent for the Conference League quarterfinals.
