Kieran Crowley announces XV for Scotland trip: two rookies
The blue XV for Scotland-Italy
Kieran Crowley, coach of Italrugby, has announced the starting XV and the eight subs that will take part in Saturday’s away match against Scotland, the last match of the Six Nations 2023. An important appointment, with the Azzurri called for a feat to avoid ending the Tournament without even one win.
Two main novelties: the starting scrum-half will be Alessandro Fusco, who makes his debut from the 1′ after having already played as a sub, while at left wing there will be Simone Gesi, at his very first cap. For the two Zebre players, an important opportunity against an opponent that in recent years has dropped out of the ranks among the top teams, collecting even important successes.
“We were disappointed with the performance against Wales,” Crowley told FIR’s official channels, “We have addressed that during this week and we are looking forward to Saturday’s challenge against a very good team like Scotland.
