Ivan Zucco ready to defend his WBC international title in Milan

There is great anticipation and trepidation for the return to the ring of Ivan Zucco (16-0, 14 Ko). The Verbanese champion will try to defend his WBC international super middleweight title from the onslaught of Britain’s Germaine Brown (12-1-0, 3 KOs).

A belt, this one, won on April 22, 2022 after annihilating Serbian Marko Nikolic by knockout after only two rounds. The Italian talent’s growth is growing steadily, and a possible victory in a week’s time could open the continental chance for him.

These are his words a few days before the match: “It will be a tough challenge against a strong opponent. I will defend my belt at all costs. I have been training hard between Croatia and Spain to come prepared for this match. I am excited and looking forward to the fight also because winning would finally mean I could compete for the European Championship.”

Ivan Zucco’s bout will be just the icing on the cake of the great evening of Milanese boxing organized by OPI Since 82 and Fight Club Fragomeni. In fact, as many as eight matches are scheduled on the card. Most notable is the bout between Italian superwelter champion Francesco Russo (12-2-0, 10 knockouts) and Christian Mazzon (9-4-0, 3 knockouts). The evening will see the return to the ring of Maxim Prodan in the welterweight category and ISKA kickboxing world champion Gloria Peritore, who will make her boxing debut in the roosterweight category.

The only bit of bitterness is the missed debut in the middleweight of the unfortunate Daniele Scardina, who was supposed to face Cedric Spera.
