F1 Mercedes, Nico Rosberg stings Lewis Hamilton
Former Mercedes driver Rosberg: “Sometimes Hamilton breaks down mentally.”
Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg in an interview with Sky Sports addressed the duel in the German stable between George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, which currently sees the former Williams driver winning: “In his statements Lewis had the face of ‘I was beaten by my teammate’… George is the future world champion, and it’s hard for Lewis to stay ahead.”
“Last year we saw that Russell had a fantastic season, and he is continuing on this path. It will be a great challenge, but let’s not forget that Lewis is the best of all time, so if there is anyone who can beat George, it will be Hamilton,” explained the former German driver, who in 2016 won the world title at Lewis’ own expense.
According to Rosberg, Hamilton “sometimes gets down mentally and loses some confidence,” but Russell has to be careful because “every time he comes back with a bang.”
