Givova Scafati strikes a blow
Givova Scafati: incoming Martin Krampelj
Givova Scafati has spent its latest season signing: in fact, Slovenian national athlete Martin Krampelj has been signed and is soon to arrive in Scafati to undergo routine medical examinations.
He is a strong wing, able to play both behind and in front of the basket, with excellent shooting qualities from both medium and long range, as well as being a good rebounder.
Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on March 10, 1995, he is 206 cm tall and 107 kg. Raised basketball-wise between Grosuplje and Krka Nove Mesto, he left his homeland at a very young age and pursued his career in the US, first in high school and then attending Creighton University, with whose jersey he played for four consecutive seasons in the NCAA (2015 to 2019), registering 13.5 points (with 59.2% from the field and 37.1% from three) and 6.9 rebounds on average in the last championship. He then continued his career in Europe, first in Spain’s top league at MoraBanc Andorra and then in Slovenia’s premier league (at Cedevita Olimpja) and Poland (at GTW Gliwice, where he averaged 10 points and 6.1 rebounds). Then a return to the U.S. (2021/2022 season), in the D-League, to wear the Sioux Falls Skyforce jersey (9.6 points and 5.1 rebounds average), but the season was closed in Uruguay at Atletico Aguada Montevideo (in 10 games, 14.3 points and 8 rebounds average). Finally, after a brief transit in Canada with the Hamilton Honey Badgers, the move in the current season to the Polish top league with MKS Dabrowa Gòrnicza, where he is traveling with 15.7 points (with 53.9% from the field and 36.4% from three) and 5.9 rebounds average.
