The time has come for the epilogue to the 2022/23 World Cup cross-country season, which will take place in the beautiful setting of Lahti, Finland. It begins on Friday, March 24, with the team sprint in free technique, followed on Saturday, March 25, by a sprint, both men’s and women’s, in classic technique and then ending with the 20 km mass start in alternating technique on Sunday, March 26, again reserved for men and women.

Competing for Italy in the Finnish events will be Federico Pellegrino, Francesco De Fabiani, Paolo Ventura, Simone Mocellini, Davide Graz, Simone Daprà and Dietmar Noeckler among the men; among the women will be Cristina Pittin, Caterina Ganz, Federica Sanfilippo, Nicole Monsorno and Francesca Franchi.

In particular, Pellegrino, in the sprint on Saturday 25, will try to reach the third place in the specialty ranking – currently occupied by Sweden’s Ervin Anger – on the strength of a season that has seen him on the podium five times (One win, two second and two third places) in the race format.
