Alex Marquez set the fastest time in the first free practice session of the Grand Prix of Portugal 2023.
Behind him was Joan Mir, making his debut with the factory Honda, ahead of the Ducati Mooney VR46 pair of Luca Marini and Marco Bezzecchi, third and fourth respectively at 140 and 236 thousandths from the lead.
Also in the Top 10 are Fabio Quartararo, world champion Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.
