Jorge Lorenzo offers an important comparison

The double podium finish of Fernando Alonso, who at 41 years old is back at the top of Formula 1 behind the wheel of Aston Martin and is currently third in the overall 2023 World Championship standings, behind only the impregnable Red Bull drivers, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, is still making noise.

The Asturian’s greatness is recognized across the board, as evidenced by Jorge Lorenzo’s words at an event organized by the Spanish newspaper ‘Marca.’ The two-time MotoGp champion troubled his all-time rival, Valentino Rossi, to make a comparison: “Fernando is a hypercompetitive ‘beast,’ even more than Rossi and more than me. He doesn’t feel fatigue, every year he exalts himself even with machines that are not very fast, and he has always found reasons to keep going, like ‘El Plan,’ his plan to get back to the top positions.”
