MotoGp, Marc Marquez will not serve penalty
Barring any last-minute changes, the penalty to Marc Marquez will only apply to Argentina
Marc Marquez will not, barring any surprises, serve the penalty awarded after the incident caused on the third lap of the Portuguese Grand Prix, when he knocked out Miguel Oliveira after a risky braking move.
The race commission had penalized the eight-time world champion with a double long lap to be served at Rio Hondo, in the Argentine Grand Prix scheduled for next Sunday. A race in which the Catalan rider will not participate because he injured his hand: the penalty as worded is only valid for the Argentine weekend, and therefore will not be observed when Marquez returns to racing, in Austin, Texas.
