Fabio Quartararo no-nonsense: “Crucial qualification”

Fabio Quartararo: “Qualification crucial for us.”

During the press conference to present the Argentine GP, Fabio Quartararo addressed the moment Yamaha is going through and the Japanese team’s room for improvement.

“We have the potential to be very fast, but we still have difficulty in fighting with the others. We are working to try to be quicker coming out of corners so we can better prepare for overtaking,” the French rider began.

“We still have to improve a lot. We have to use these races to grow especially in qualifying, as for our bike starting as far ahead as possible is a very important element,” added the 2021 world champion.

“The pace in Portimao was quite good, however, starting the season like this was very difficult. We need to understand what needs to be improved in order to ride like the others and be able to make a few more overtakes,” Quartararo concluded.
