Marc Marquez, Paolo Ciabatti’s severity: “Incomprehensible and dangerous”
Even from Ducati’s top management comes an unabashed rejection.
Marc Marquez will not take part in the Argentine Grand Prix, but he continues to be the focus of MotoGP attention for what happened in Portimao. And the incident that also involved Miguel Oliveira and Jorge Martin was also addressed by Paolo Ciabatti, sport director of Ducati Corse.
“He failed to assess the braking correctly, and he made a dangerous move,” Ciabatti told the microphones of ‘BT Sport,’ speaking about Marquez. “With all the respect I have for Marc, I honestly find such an error incomprehensible. I don’t understand, it was really dangerous.”
Ciabatti then addressed Martin’s race, which was affected by contact with Marquez. “He had the pace to stay with the leaders, but after the accident he lost positions. Trying to recover he made a mistake and fell. A disappointing finish, that’s what I can say,” the Ducati sport director cut in short.
