A new defeat, the third in a row, that threatens to complicate the Champions race.

Inter defeated at San Siro by Fiorentina, and still third in the standings with the risk of being overtaken, however, by Milan. This was the effect of the 0-1 loss at the Meazza, signed by former Rossoneri Giacomo Bonaventura, and certifying the recent difficulties of the team coached by Simone Inzaghi. It is in fact the third ko in a row in Serie A, after those on the field of Spezia and again at home against Juventus.

Not an easy match for Inter, which already trembled in the very first minutes on the initiatives of Ikoné and Bonaventura. Gosens seemed to awaken the hosts, who, however, had Onana to thank for the great dive that denied Castrovilli’s goal. It was then Mkhitaryan and twice Lukaku who deluded the San Siro stands, but at the end of the half the conclusions of Mandragora and Martinez Quarta in addition to Ikoné’s mistake certified the excellent form of the violets.

The second half opened with a whirlwind of emotions: on one side wasted Gosens and Lukaku, on the other Castrovilli. The result was then unlocked by Bonaventura, who, in the 53rd minute, corrected into the net a framing shot from Cabral on a corner that Onana had managed to deflect. The same Bonaventura even came close to doubling the score, before Barella’s post and Terracciano’s miracle on Dumfries. Inzaghi played the Lautaro and Dzeko cards in place of Correa and Mkhitaryan, but the sharpest chance happened to Bellanova. The equalizer does not come, and the Beneamata slows down again.
