F1, Max Verstappen: jibe at Lewis Hamilton
Max Verstappen stings Lewis Hamilton
It is destined to be discussed for much longer the ‘crazy’ Australian Grand Prix that, since the start, has given emotions and ignited controversy. One of these concerns the contact shortly after the start, without consequences, between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, who in that order would later close at the checkered flag with the Dutchman the winner.
“I tried to avoid the contact,” the reigning world champion said bluntly in the press conference on the sidelines of the Grand Prix. The rules are clear, what the drivers of the cars on the outside can do everyone knows, but often other things happen. In the end it went well, we went ahead anyway, but in the next races we will take everything into account.”
Verstappen himself, however, tried to tone it down by joking about going off the track in the late stages of the race, “I took care of it by cutting the grass there, I did a favor for the people who take care of it,” he joked. Jokes aside, I had a little tire lock-up, but we had a good lead at that stage of the race. It went well.”
