Loris Capirossi outspoken about Bezzecchi: “He’s a lot like me.”

On his 50th birthday, Loris Capirossi spoke to Sky Sport about the first two races of the World Championship and the performance of riders like Bezzecchi and Bagnaia, both of whom came out of Valentino Rossi’s academy.

“Bezzecchi looks like me. He is an instinctive, aggressive rider who never backs down, and that can make the difference in a long championship like this year’s. I like the way he rides the Ducati. He was fabulous in Argentina, especially with the difficult track conditions. He didn’t do anything wrong, he was always in the lead and brought home a great win. I think it will not be the only one of the season because he has the qualities and talent to make a great World Championship,” said “Capirex” about the Mooney VR46 team rider.

“Bagnaia’s mistake can be there. The conditions were difficult and riders are not robots. Of him I appreciate the fact that he never backs down and takes responsibility. Mistakes make you learn. Last year he made some and yet he won the title. He never settles; he always wants to go for the win. That’s why I say it can happen to make a mistake,” Capirossi added about the Ducati rider.
