Racism against Lukaku, Tardelli blurts out: ‘It’s no longer bearable’
Former Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli on racist chants against Lukaku: “It’s the epilogue of an announced disgrace, it’s no longer bearable.”
Former Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli in La Stampa commented on what happened in the final of the Coppa Italia match against Inter, with the racist chants against Romelu Lukaku and the brawl.
“In this blessed country the years pass but the problems always remain unresolved, people are afraid to take the first step, afraid to denounce, afraid even to confront fans who are becoming more and more arrogant and brutal. What happened between Juventus and Inter is the epilogue of an announced shame, visibly announced by episodes that happened on previous championship days.”
“I am no longer willing to turn away in front of a new bad figure of Italian soccer in the world. I don’t accept that they talk about it for a couple of days and then nothing happens because as always…. “the show must go on.” This is no longer bearable, and if those who are in charge do not do, those who are not do.”
