Napoli gets going again right away: Lecce beaten
Lecce-Napoli 1-2
The second Friday advance of the 29th day of Serie A saw Napoli triumph on the field of Lecce thanks to Di Lorenzo’s goal and Falcone’s own goal. At 0-1, the Salentini had retaken the Azzurri with a goal by Di Francesco.
In the first half the hosts started better but the guests at the first lunge went ahead: Kim went off on the right and put a great cross towards the center, perfectly finding Di Lorenzo who turned it into the net with his head. The Azzurri gain confidence and come close to doubling the score in the final but Lozano wastes it all.
In the second half comes the Salentini’s reaction: in the 52nd minute on the development of a free kick Baschirotto makes the back for Ceesay who hits a sure shot but bangs on the crossbar, on the rebound Di Francesco harpoons the ball, turns and kicks hard at the first post, beating Meret and signing the equalizer. A little more than ten minutes later, however, the guests took the lead again with a resounding own goal by Falcone, who did not hold back a chest pass from Gallo. Lecce did not lose heart and tried to fight back but the partenopei protected the result.
Napoli thus conquers 3 points and resumes its march toward the Scudetto, climbing to 74, while Lecce remains stationary at 27.
