Milan, looking to the future: Ibra in the balance, new name for attack
AC Milan is looking for a striker for next season
The disappointing 0-0 home draw with Empoli has raised more than one question in the Milan household: the first is related to poor continuity of results, the second to an attack overly dependent on the performances of Giroud and Rafael Leao.
For this reason, the Rossoneri have returned to scour the market, with the aim of reinforcing the squad for next season: the new name, reported by ‘Tuttosport,’ is that of Jonathan David, striker of Lille and the Canadian national team. A goal that is not impossible, given the good relations between the two clubs (Maignan and Leao himself arrived just from LOSC), although the economic basis of the negotiation is not less than 40 million euros.
Still on the offensive side, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s position is increasingly in the balance: after skipping the entire first part of the season to recover from post-Scudetto knee surgery, the Swede played a few scraps of matches before suffering a new injury, this time muscular. Factors that will inevitably weigh on the renewal negotiations.
