Paris-Roubaix, Van der Poel wins: ‘Legs and luck’
Paris-Roubaix, Van der Poel wins
Mathieu Van der Poel won Paris-Roubaix, the “queen of the classics.” Second was teammate Pedersen, third an unlucky Van Aert.
“It was one of the absolute best days of my career,” he said. “At one point I was in front by myself, I had good legs and a lot of luck. It’s hard to describe, it’s something incredible-it’s my best season in the classics.”
“It was a crazy race, because of how strong we went from the start, rarely have I felt so good,” the Dutchman concluded.
