MotoGP: Miguel Oliveira will be in Austin, but return still hangs in the balance
The departure for Austin will be there, it remains to be seen if the medical okay will also arrive.
Miguel Oliveira is expected to be back on his Aprilia at the Grand Prix of the Americas scheduled for next weekend. The Portuguese had been involved in the Portimao crash triggered by Marc Marquez, and was forced to miss the MotoGP Argentine Grand Prix.
Oliveira had suffered a tendon injury in his right leg, which he should have since overcome. At Aprilia there is confidence about his return to full duty, but there is one last piece to put back in place: a visit to the medical center at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Only after this appointment, set for next Thursday, can the final go-ahead come.
With Oliveira unavailable, Aprilia took part in the last Argentine Grand Prix sending only Raul Fernandez to the track.
