Marc Marquez will not race in Austin
Marc Marquez is also skipping the Grand Prix of the Americas. The Spanish centaur has not yet recovered from the fracture of the first metacarpal of his right hand.
This was announced by the Honda team through an official note: “After a final CT scan, Marc Marquez and his medical team, led by Dr. Ignacio Roger de Oña, at the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid have confirmed that the first metacarpal is still healing. After close collaboration with the Repsol Honda Team and HRC, everyone involved decided to let the injury heal completely and avoid unnecessary risks. Marquez will continue his rehabilitation program at home to return to full fitness as soon as possible.”
