Austin potholes don’t scare Maverick Viñales and his Aprilia
Maverick Viñales books another podium after Friday in Austin. “A positive day, especially because there was a clear improvement from last year: we were immediately faster both on the single lap and as a pace, and I feel good in the saddle. The bike is moving a lot because of the potholes, but that’s the case for everyone and our bike is actually not performing badly at all in these conditions.”
“It was important to get the direct passage to Q2 and we have succeeded, ahead of qualifying it will be crucial to be precise in riding because on this track it is easy to make some mistakes. The goal is to qualify on the front row: a perfect lap will be needed, but it is within our reach.”
