Pecco Bagnaia on pole in Austin

Pecco Bagnaia took pole position for the MotoGp-class Grand Prix of the Americas at the Austin circuit: the world champion pushed his Ducati to a track record 2:01.892, a time 160 thousandths faster than the Honda of Alex Rins, who will start from second position. Closing out the front row is another Ducati, that of Luca Marini’s Mooney VR46 team: the brother of Valentino Rossi is the only one, along with Rins, to keep the gap under 3 tenths from Bagnaia.

As for Marco Bezzecchi, another Italian in Q2, fifth time overall with the other bike from the team founded by the ‘Doctor’: 376 thousandths of a gap from the reigning world champion.
