MotoGp, Luca Marini already looking beyond first podium finish
Ducati VR46 team centaur Luca Marini spoke after his second place in Austin: Valentino Rossi’s brother scored his first career podium in MotoGp: “I was calm at the start and Quartararo passed me. Then I knew I had a good pace, I never thought all was lost. With Pecco Bagnaia’s crash, I knew Rins would manage. I overtook Fabio and tried to get closer to Alex, but he was going really fast with the Honda. It’s a great result, though, for the team and I’m very happy with the work we did.”
Luca is very ambitious: “I don’t want to stop only at the next races, but also for the next years. We all have to keep growing, me first and foremost. This year I feel much improved as a rider and as a person, I have grown a lot since 2022 and we are in the third race, so I expect to keep improving and be even stronger. I’m having a lot of fun with the team and I’m happy to have many races because I live them with a smile. With so many races if you make some mistakes you have a lot of time to recover and try to make the result, but there are ten drivers who can win every Sunday and being in the top six all the time is what can win you the championship.”
