MotoGp, VR46: Luca Marini wants to redeem himself immediately
Luca Marini does not lose his optimism
Luca Marini chews bitterly after the seventh place in the Sprint Race MotoGp in Austin, a result that was the result of a smear at the start that forced him to close the first lap in fourteenth place. On the other hand, as he himself explained to the official channels of the Mooney VR46 team, optimism remains for Sunday’s race.
“I honestly don’t know what happened at the start,” said Valentino Rossi’s brother: “I was too tight at the first corner, compared to my usual line, and there was a lot of dirt there, also considering that this is the first race of the weekend. The bike got very disjointed, also the fork and the front wheel got stuck. I braked hard not to run into Pecco and went very wide losing a lot of positions. A real shame, for the first time this year I had done a good qualifying.”
“Tomorrow we have another race anyway and today I really enjoyed myself,” Marini reiterated, “I battled a lot, maybe my MotoGp race with more overtaking. The key to the long race will be the choice of the front tire: with these temperatures, it drops after 6/7 laps and I took a lot of risks to not lose the front end.”
