Franco Sattolo: Turin’s final farewell.

Franco Sattolo, former goalkeeper of Torino and Sampdoria among others, has passed away in Trieste at the age of 86. This is the message that the Granata club posted on its official website: “President Urbano Cairo and the entire Torino Football Club are close with affection to the Sattolo family in the memory of Franco Sattolo, former Granata goalkeeper and for many years a precious reference point for coaches and teammates.”

“Arriving from Sampdoria in 1966, he wore the granata jersey until 1974: for him, deputy of Vieri and then of Castellini, a total of 69 appearances between league and cups. After finishing as a player then he was also coach of Torino’s youth team alongside Ercole Rabitti. To his loved ones, relatives and many friends the condolences and fraternal embrace of the entire Granata world.”
