Barcelona, Jannik Sinner doesn’t shine but advances: Schwartzman knocked out
Jannik Sinner started the Atp 500 in Barcelona with a victory: the Italian tennis player overcame Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman in two sets with scores of 6-2, 6-4 in an hour and 40 minutes of play. After an initial break-counterbreak, Sinner showed more solidity on serve and closed the first set by getting two more breaks in the fifth and seventh game, taking the lead in the match. Similar second set: again break and initial counterbreak, Sinner again moved ahead but became distracted in the latter part of the set, qundo allowing Schwartzman to recover from 2-4 to 4-4. A break in the ninth game, however, decides the partial and the match.
