Jannik Sinner has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Atp 500 tournament in Barcelona.
In fact, the South Tyrolean won over Yoshihito Nishioka 6-1 4-6 6-3 in a match with two faces.
The Italian number one dominated the first set, breaking serve twice from his opponent, but in the second set, aided by a problem to be evaluated in his left thigh, he suffered the return of the Japanese player, who extended the match but then lost anyway because of a service that was really too incisive.
Jannik Sinner in the next round will face the winner of the challenge between Lorenzo Musetti and Cameron Norrie: so there could be another Italian derby a challenge week after the one in Monte Carlo.
