Juventus, appeal partially upheld: back to 15 points, new Serie A standings
Juve, files sent back to federal appeals court: new trial to be held
The Collegio di Garanzia del Coni has partially upheld Juventus’ appeal: the 15-point penalty has been suspended and the acts have been sent back to the Federcalcio’s Court of Appeals for a new evaluation.
The Bianconeri team thus had its 15-point penalty returned, at least temporarily. Now Allegri’s men are third in the standings behind Lazio.
This is the operative part: “It accepts the appeals registered under G.R. no. 17/2023 (Vellano/FIGC and others), G.R. no. 18/2023 (Nedved and others/FIGC and others) and G.R. no. 13/2023 (Juventus/FIGC and others), in the terms and within the limits set forth in the grounds, and refers the matter back to the Federal Court of Appeals so that, in a different composition, it may renew its assessment, in particular, with regard to the determination of the causal contribution of the individual directors, providing adequate reasons and drawing any consequences also with regard to the penalty imposed against the company Juventus F.C. S.p.A.”
