Honda and Marc Marquez’s move doesn’t please Jorge Viegas
Jorge Viegas, FIM president present at Assen for the Superbike, has no doubts. “If I had been Marc Marquez I would have served the penalty, without appealing, since now he has given people to think that he doesn’t want to serve it, which is not nice,” reads Motosprint.
“The situation is clear,” adds the Portuguese, “Marc did what he did and agreed with the penalty. The Stewards Panel wrote an unclear penalty, so I asked them to make it clearer, and Team Honda consequently appealed, so much so that I personally spoke with Puig. The appeal is well done, so the ball has passed to the FIM judges, who decided to suspend the penalty, to have time to decide and avoid problems. The decision will come soon.”
