Matteo Berrettini, a new forfeit arrives: the announcement

Matteo Berrettini on his social profile announced that he will be forced to skip the Madrid Masters 1000 tournament due to the injury that knocked him out in Monte Carlo.

“The path of recovery has begun with my medical team in Barcelona,” the Azzurro wrote, “I will do everything I can to get back on court as soon as possible. Unfortunately I will not be able to be in Madrid, I will keep you updated when I have further news. Thank you for the support.”

Berrettini hopes to recover in time for the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome and the second Slam of the season, Roland Garros.
