Inter, pardon for Romelu Lukaku from Figc: with Juventus he will be there
The disqualification is lifted, upon the decision of the federal president.
Romelu Lukaku will be available for Inter in the Coppa Italia semifinal against Juventus. This was decided by the FIGC through its president Gabriele Gravina, who in fact pardoned “exceptionally and extraordinarily” the Belgian center forward. The decision comes after it had already been decided to cancel the closure of the sector intended to host Juventus fans.
“The Federal President, also at the proposal of the Federal Council, can grant a pardon if at least half of the sentence has been served,” reads the Figc’s ruling. “In the case of preclusion, the pardon cannot be granted unless at least five years have passed since the adoption of the definitive sanction.
“The principle of combating all forms of racism is a founding element of the sports system,” the federal note then adds.
