Lorenzo Musetti makes no dramas: “I found continuity again, that’s good.”
No final in Barcelona, but the mood remains good.
Lorenzo Musetti failed to prevail over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the match that could have taken him to the final of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona. After the two hours and 29 minutes of play, however, the Italian did not want to make any dramas for the 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 victory that rewarded his opponent.
“I think the preparation for this semifinal was the best possible,” Musetti told the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ hot off the press. The key to the match was to turn first on the forehand, whoever could then command the game. We actually alternated a lot, we both played well.”
“In the second set I had managed to turn around a game that seemed to be going in another direction. Tsitsipas, however, was very good in the decisive moments, especially on serve. I, however, am happy with the tennis I am expressing and the continuity of recent times. Now I want to focus on Madrid and Rome, then it will be time for Roland Garros,” Musetti concluded.
