Superbike, Danilo Petrucci is a rampage
Danilo Petrucci’s weekend in Assen ended with a ninth-place finish in race 1 and an eighth-place finish in race 2, which certainly don’t make the Teni rider, currently seventh in the championship standings on 51 points, happy.
Petrucci also seemed very disappointed with 15th place in the Superpole Race, a race mode to which he still cannot adapt: “I can’t be happy with an eighth place, especially given the crashes that facilitated us. It makes me angry that in the early stages I can’t be as fast as I am later on. There is still work to be done because in the early laps I have no traction and I suffer from the lack of grip. That’s why I’m not happy today.”
These are the words of Ducati Barni team manager Marco Barnabò: “We have to fix the first four laps, that’s where we lose so much. We know there is still work to be done because the rider is not able to express his potential.”
