Big names for the Piedmont Open 2023
Italian flag bearers Lorenzo Musetti, Lorenzo Sonego and Marco Cecchinato, Croatian Borna Coric, U.S. tennis future Brandon Nakashima, Argentine Diego Schwartzman, Czech promise Jiri Lehecka but also Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori and Kazakhstan’s pyrotechnic juggernaut Alexander Bublik. These are just some of the names offered by the outstanding entry list of Challenger 175 ‘Piemonte Open Intesa Sanpaolo’ released today by ATP.
An entry list that, with two Top 20s (Musetti and Coric) and eight Top 50s, traces a real journey around the globe, among exceptional performers of the racket, perfect mix of experience, great prospects and charismatic personalities of the circuit.
The tournament, which has found its title partner in Intesa Sanpaolo, will take place on the clay courts of the Circolo della Stampa Sporting during the second week of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, or May 14-20.
This means that its already very rich seeding could be further enhanced by the presence of all those players eliminated prematurely from the Foro Italico draw and eager to return immediately to the court to continue their preparation for Roland Garros.
