Brindisi, Fernando Marino blunt on loss to Trent: “The guys seemed off mentally.”

In the 28th day of Serie A, New Basket Brindisi was defeated by Trento, failing the first match-point for the arithmetic qualification to the play-offs. The club president Fernando Marino spoke about the match at the microphones of the “Quotidiano di Puglia”.

“Against Trento we had a great opportunity, but we were not good at taking it. We paid dearly for a deficient offensive performance and their great physicality. What was more serious, though, was that the guys seemed mentally switched off. We had to make the two points ours, but we failed to do so having misinterpreted the match and having played it with a lot of nervousness,” said the number one of the biancazzurri.

Afterwards, Fernando Marino wanted to send a message to the team spurring them to reset the defeat and regain the grit and concentration that has distinguished Brindisi in recent outings.
