Fernando Alonso wants to continue to impress

After three podiums achieved in the first three GPs of the season, Fernando Alonso wants to confirm himself in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, scheduled in Baku starting Friday.

The Spanish driver is looking forward to racing again, “How nice to come back after several weeks of stop. I’ve recharged my batteries after an adrenaline-fueled start to the season and now I’m looking forward to racing in Baku. The circuit presents unique challenges for us drivers, because we face very narrow road sections at low speed and then travel on very long straights with the throttle totally wide open, and this offers so many opportunities, both in terms of risk and reward,” Alonso analyzed. “I’m happy to see the Sprint format again, there have been some fun races on this track in the past and I’m sure we won’t be disappointed, especially with two qualifying sessions and two races. After three rounds we know our machina better but we need to pick up where we left off in Australia and continue to develop in the coming races.”
