MotoGp, calendar loses a piece: no Kazakhstan
MotoGp, Kazakhstan GP cancelled
The 2023 MotoGP calendar loses a piece: on Wednesday, in fact, FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports confirmed the cancellation of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix, whose first ever edition was scheduled for the weekend between July 7 and 9.
“The work still underway for homologation, combined with the challenges posed by the current global situation, make the cancellation of the 2023 event obligatory,” reads the note published on the official MotoGP website. MotoGp counts on returning to the Sokol International Racetrack in 2024 to welcome it back to the calendar.”
MotoGP organizers have confirmed that the event will not be replaced in 2023: the calendar will therefore change from 21 to 20 race weekends.
