C Series, playoffs slip

The start of the playoffs in Serie C has slipped. This was made official by the Pro League through an official statement.

“The Governing Council of the Lega Pro informed today of the referral by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office against ACR Siena 1904 and the consequent fixing of the hearing by the National Federal Court to May 8, 2023, has deemed it necessary, in respect of the decisions of Sporting Justice and to protect its associates, to postpone the start of the 2022/23 playoff matches on May 11, 2023 as per official communiqué No. 232/L published today – reads the note issued by the Lega Pro -.

The Governing Council of the Lega Pro, which has found itself in the position of having to take this decision, has decided to take legal action together with all its members to protect their image and credibility. The Governing Council trusts in the understanding of the clubs involved and their respective fans.”
