NBA, award pushes Paolo Banchero away from Italy

Magic ace wins Rookie of the Year 2023 award
An award that complicates Coach Pozzecco’s plans. Banchero just took home the coveted title of NBA Rookie of the Year 2023, a very important award in the United States (won, in the past, by stars such as Bird, Jordan and James).
Banchero is now an NBA star. After only one year with the Magic, he has already convinced everyone. Hence the real possibility that, pushed also by sponsors, he will decide to give up playing with the Italy jersey at the next World Cup. At the moment, the Italian-American has not yet made his choice. He has, several times, stated that he feels very attached to Italy but nothing more. Italian fans (Pozzecco included) hope that, in the end, he will choose the blue.
