Serie B: Cagliari restarts, Spal and Perugia get each other in trouble
A win that weighs heavily for promotion, a draw that does not solve problems in the relegation zone.
Cagliari restarts and returns to winning ways in Serie B after collecting three points in the previous four days. The 2-1 home win over Ternana in fact allows the islanders to move back to fifth place in cohabitation with Parma. In Ferrara, on the other hand, Spal frightened Perugia but in the end collected only a bitter 1-1: with this score the Estensi remain penultimate, while the Umbrians have one more point and are in the playout zone.
Cagliari ahead as early as 4′ thanks to Deiola, served by Nandez. Partipilo equalized in the 12th minute, the decisive goal for the islanders came in the 60th minute with the signature of Zappa. In Ferrara, however, it was Perugia who took the lead in the 12′ thanks to Casasola. Spal equalized in the 63rd minute with a penalty by Moncini and believed they had turned the game around in the 88th minute: however, the Var cancelled Maistro’s goal due to a foul of hands.
