Jose Mourinho goes down hard on referee Chiffi
José Mourinho tough in press conference
José Mourinho, in the press conference on the sidelines of his Roma’s 1-1 draw at home to Monza, did not hide his disappointment, also pointing the finger at Chiffi’s refereeing. “The referee? He made a huge mistake,” the Portuguese coach commented, “he is the worst referee I have found in my career. Zero empathy.”
“I am not stupid, I protected myself by recording the dialogues of the match,” continued Mourinho, in front of reporters. “Orsato even when he makes mistakes is in control. This gentleman (Chiffi, ed.) as a referee has very little but he has the talent to anger. It is easier for me to talk because the result has nothing to do with the refereeing.”
On the match: “They played two teams that wanted to win. Monza is a good team, motivated, we in great difficulty, partly our fault. Champions League? Milan and Inter have two crazy roses, we are struggling in the league and in the European cups. We have injuries and we have fatigue, but we always go to the limit.”
