Carlos Alcaraz in semifinals, defeated Russian Khachanov in two sets
Another convincing victory for Carlos Alcaraz in Madrid: the Spanish tennis player defeated Russian Karen Khachanov in two sets with 6-4 7-5 scores, qualifying for the semifinals of the Masters 1000, of which he is the title holder.
After a very balanced first set, the Murcia tennis player had a lapse in concentration finishing down 1-4 in the second. However, after nullifying two more break points in the sixth game, the world number 2 strung together five consecutive games turning the match around and closing with a score of 7-5.
Alcaraz will face the winner of the match between Altmaier and Coric in the semifinals.
