MotoGp, Valentino Rossi issues a warning to Franco Morbidelli
MotoGp, Valentino Rossi sincere: “I would like VR46 to run for Yamaha, but the situation is complicated”
The Jerez weekend, in addition to recording the victory of Pecco Bagnaia, was also characterized by the presence in the pits of nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, who enjoyed as a spectator the exploits of his riders raised in the Academy. In Spain, the rider from Tavullia spoke at the microphones of “Motorsport,” addressing among other topics the possible transition of the VR46 team to Yamaha and the difficulties that Franco Morbidelli is going through.
“I would like VR46 to race with Yamaha, but the problem is that they have to find a way to improve the M1. Our goal is to go to the races thinking we can fight for the win and for the podium, and right now the technical situation of Yamaha is a bit complicated. They have a lot of room for improvement and there is still time before we make a decision,” the nine-time world champion began.
“The next four or five races will be a very important period for Franco, because he will have to prove that he can be part of the Yamaha team. It is true that the bike is giving problems, but he has to try to be at least as fast as Quartararo,” added the Tavullia rider.
“I am very happy with the work done. We started with Moto3 and Moto2, but when you get to MotoGp it becomes much more difficult. The responsibilities increase. I must congratulate Uccio for the wonderful job, as little by little we have taken the trusted people in the paddock creating a very close and cohesive atmosphere,” concluded Valentino Rossi about his team.
